We are delighted to be exclusively supporting a growing law firm on a key appointment as they look to rapidly grow their business services function in London.

We are looking to bring in an experienced Business Development professional, to take on a Headof BD or Director title to establish their BD function.


A prior knowledge of litigation/disputes/arbitration would be advantageous, as we are quite open on experience level we would be keen to speak with individuals from Senior Manager level and above.

Due to the firm not currently having a BD function in placewe feel this would suit someone who is excited by the prospect of having a blank canvas to implement ideas and strategy that will help drive the global business.


You will work closely with the firm's COO and board making this a leadership position within the firm and will work across their business areas and geographical spread.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and develop the content of the business development and marketing strategy across the international firm encouraging collaboration and innovation
  • Manage the firm's external relationships with industry bodies, ensuring opportunities are identified and maximised
  • Prepare the marketing budget and ensure allocated budgets are effectively handled
  • Ensure all major pitches are effectively handled, coaching those partners and lawyers involved in major business development activity
  • Work closely with senior leadership and the new Head of Strategic Comms to come up with a comprehensive BD/Marketing plan tailored to deliver on the partnerships core objectives.
