Our client, a prestigious US Law Firm, is looking to hire a Risk and Compliance Lawyer for their London office.

This role will report to the Administrative Partner for the London office, who is also the Firm's MLCO, MLRO, COLP and DPO, and work closely withthe Compliance team in the US.

They are searching for a qualified lawyer (minimum 3 years PQE) with previous experience of compliance work in an international law firm.

The Risk and Compliance lawyer will need to be self-motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills,strong organisational skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.

This is a permanent position working from our client's office in central London, with the option for hybrid working. A salary of £120-150,000 per annum is on offer (dependent on experience), plus fantastic benefits.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Providing internal advice on a wide range of compliance and regulatory issues, including engagement letters, conflicts, AML and CTF matters, DAC 6 and other tax disclosure matters, GDPR and data privacy matters, and the SRA's Standards and Regulations.
Keeping relevant policies and procedures under review, and recommending revisions and updates as appropriate
Maintaining the data register
Assisting in the review of contractual arrangements with outside suppliers
Assisting in managing the Firm's relationship with the SRA
Keeping under review legal and regulatory developments applicable to the Firm and its compliance program
Assisting in the development and delivery of compliance and risk management training to the Firm's lawyers and staff
