What you would do as our General Operative:
To assist with the timely production of a range of YDWS products, in accordance with orders received.

Reporting into the Product Line Leader, you would:

Operate a variety of machines and tools used in the various stages of the production process, and according to job instructions
Manual assembly of window hardware
Assist with the packing of finished products
Help ensure finished goods are stored in an appropriate manner prior to despatch
Observe Health and Safety rules, which must be adhered to at all times, and ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy and free from potential hazards
Notify Team Leader / Supervision of any faulty or nonfunctioning machinery and equipment, and at the same time exercise care and attention when operating machinery
Be prepared to assist in other production areas from time to time, if required to do so and according to training received, in order to help meet production deadlines
Ensure that customer orders are met on a timely basis, ensuring that all goods meet the required quality standards
Observe the Company Quality and Environmental standards, procedures and guidelines in all areas of production activity, together with monitoring quality and consistency of output on an ongoing basis

Has proven experience within a fast paced manufacturing facility
Possesses good manual dexterity
Has a positive 'can do' attitude
Possesses a good eye for detail and be able to spot defects and faults
Possesses the ability to record numerical data
Is able to cooperate and work well in a team
Has energy, enthusiasm and commitment
