THE ROLE


This role is to manage a contractor to deliver a variety of survey and maintenance workloads and ensure we meet compliance with industry standards and SGN procedures.

Role will require tracking workload volumes, managing contractor performance, organisethe capture in SGN systems and produce Management Information for reporting.


The role will also be responsible for the standard in which the surveys are carried out, this will need to be reviewed and managed to ensure a standard for the quality of the data captured.

The role requires communicating and liaising with multiple internaland external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to.

  • Ensure our contractor meets their volume targets
  • Managing contractor performance
  • Ensure we are compliant and manage risk effectively
  • Oversee and produce management information and track progress of delivery
  • Monitor SGN training and competency requirements, manage IT resources and equipment
  • Provide Quality Assurance and governance
  • Supporting the wider Network Management team with other tasks when required

  • Ideally have experience in managing contractors
  • An understanding of gas industry and asset management
  • Experience of Risk Management
  • Strong people management skills
  • Organisation skills
  • Highly motivated with a flexible approach
  • Ability to respond and adapt quickly to change; and meet tight deadlines
