Service Manager

Location:
Northamptonshire

Salary:
£50,000 Basic, Bonus Scheme, Company Pension Scheme, 24 Days Holiday Plus Bank Holidays.

We are looking for a seasoned Service Manager to join a market leading manufacturer based in the Northamptonshire area. This is a hands-on management role where you'll be responsible for a team of workshop engineers, field service technicians, and serviceadministrators.

You shall become an important part of the senior management team, be provided with full autotomy within your role to make wise business decisions,leading from the front, and providing an exceptional aftercare service to all customers.

Responsibilities of the Role:


  • Oversee and support a team of workshop engineers, field service engineers, and service administrators
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer service is being provided throughout the service department, and be there to support any issues that may arise
  • Ensure machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and customers are being updated at all times
  • Work closely with other departments and managers to ensure strong communication and business efficiency
  • Ensure health and safety standards are being met across the service department and all service records are being maintained

Requirements of Role:


  • Previous experience in managing a team within a service department
  • Hold a formal engineering qualification / background
  • Be able to provide a strategic approach and demonstrate a high level of commercial and business acumen
  • Previous background working within a Crane, Powered Access, or Plant Equipment business
