This position is for Tenderlinks Day Nursery based in Wandsworth, South West London.
Tenderlinks Day Nursery - Wandsworth provides high-quality childcare and education for children aged six months to five years.


Situated in a truly fantastic location for daily outings, the children can regularly visit the park, library, local soft play centres, the supermarket and the fire station.


Tenderlinks Day Nursery boasts well equipped indoor and outdoor spaces providing an exciting and stimulating environment for all children as they grow and learn.

The nursery also has weekly specialist-led classes of music, dance, sport, gardening and French.


Fresh and healthy meals are delivered daily by Care Catering, who specialise exclusively in providing high-quality food for the nursery.

This role involves taking care of a child's learning, play, education, and social development.

Typical duties include supervising the children's play, providing play-related activities, organizing the children's meals, and taking care of their personal needs.

Common tasks include observing children to help understand their learning needs and completing relevant paperwork, keeping records, providing regular feedback on children's progress, building, and maintaining effective relationships with parents and children.

Essential Requirements - GCSE Maths and English C or 4, or an equivalent (Functional Skills level 2)

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:


  • Working towards
    Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
  • Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
  • Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns
    whilst having fun.
  • Being a team player.

Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children:


  • Taking part in First Aid training as required
  • Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
  • Working with teams across the nursery setting

Supporting children's learning and development
:


  • Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
  • Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
  • Supporting children's selfhelp needs.

Being creative and enthusiastic.

  • Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
Level 3 NVQ - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator - Your apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery.
You will be working full time in the nursery.

Your classroom days will be based online as a remote session which you will need to be fully available for, and your main childcare apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery local to you.
