**Autism Classroom Assistant Ebbw Vale

Full Time

£10.77 per hour
We are looking for an Autism Classroom Assistant to work in our client school in Ebbw Vale.

The Autism Classroom Assistant will work in a number of classes across the school with primary and secondary aged pupils that work to the primary curriculum.


As an Autism Classroom Assistant you will be responsible for helping pupils throughout the school day with 1:1 support, feeding, personal care and behaviour management.

**In class the Autism Classroom Assistant will: - Support students 1:1 in class with their work

  • Participate in activities and games with students
  • Help teaching staff with planning and preparing lessons
  • Work in a team with support staff and teaching staff to manage behaviour
  • Assist with classroom upkeep and classroom tidying
  • Provide nurturing support for the learners
  • Support the pupils with personal care
Additional training is desirable but not essential

**Requirements for the Role: Enhanced DBS
