We are looking for a dedicated IPS Employment Specialist eager to be part of this pioneering venture.


Our Manchester team includes a dedicated, multi-disciplinary group of professionals, including experienced managers, committed Specialist Doctors, dedicated NMPS, empathetic Nurses, devoted recovery staff, outstanding peer mentors, and incredible volunteers.

Our collective commitment is to offer comprehensive support, medical interventions, and specialised employment assistance to those accessing our service.


Salary:
£29, £31,529.41


Hours:
Full-time (37.5 hours per week)


Interviews will be held on 23rd of April 2024

Responsibilities:


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Managing up to 25 clients undergoing structured substance use treatment, facilitating their motivation for work.
  • Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach for which training
will be given.

  • Assess client support needs related to work which may include benefits/welfare
advice, disclosure of mental health symptoms

  • Provide education and support to employers, as agreed with the individual
  • To challenge inequalities experienced by clients and address existing
discrimination, whilst ensuring a process of learning for the organisation


About You:

To excel in this role, having some of the following criteria would be beneficial:

  • Strong communication skills for effective relationship building
  • Experience/understanding of working with people with substance use support needs, or a similar client group.
  • Familiarity with employment services addressing labour market exclusion.
  • An understanding of the employment needs, and challenges faced by people who experience labour market exclusion.
  • Passion and drive to make a positive difference to people's lives.
  • Nonjudgmental, trustworthy, and empathetic approach
