**The Role - Catering Assistant

  • Night Shift**AM Services Group are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant at Toyota (Zone 3) Deeside to provide a warm, friendly and knowledgeable service to all customers ensuring the day to day operations are run in an efficient and functional manner at all times. To prepare and maintain the food and beverage service areas in an attractive and hygienic manner.
There are 2 roles available. Vacancy is for 20 hours per week shifts are Monday to Thursday 10pm - 2am and Friday 8pm to 12midnight


Duties/Key Responsibilities

  • To assist in everyday food preparation and cooking in the kitchen as and when required.
  • Serve all food & drinks to the highest standard and in line with the AM Food style using the correct tools and presentation techniques.
  • To serve coffee to a barista standard.
  • Have a thorough understanding of food and beverage concepts advising customers along with identifying opportunities for upsell.
  • Under the guidance of your Line Manager/ KAM / Marketing & Comms Assistant ensure that merchandising at service counters and dining areas have products correctly priced, labelled and in date.
  • Prepare and serve all food in a timely manner and to Company standards.
  • To support with replenishing vending machines.
  • To operate tills during service.
  • To assist in the preparation and delivery hospitality.
  • To assist with deliveries and stock taking.
  • To set up service counters for service and keep the service areas clean, tidy and presentable in line with the Company standards.
  • Clean and wash up all equipment, kitchen and service areas to comply with cleaning schedules.
  • Assist in the cleaning and clearing of tables polishing of cutlery where applicable.

Skills

  • Prior experience in a catering position beneficial.
  • A sound understanding of food safety.
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
