Central Trust Limited is a specialist mortgage lender in Watford, Hertfordshire. We have been lending to homeowners for over 30 years.

Our service is delivered entirely via telephone and online, so to be successful you need a confident telephone manner and the ability to instil trust in the customers and partners you work with.

Our customers expect the best and our business model is to deliver the very best service to them supported by our in house underwriting software.

• Provide highquality service to both internal/external customers;
• Establish rapport with internal/external customers and build lasting relationships;
• Meet objectives as set by the firm;
• Comply with Financial Conduct Authority rules and regulations (this will be trained).

The Ideal Trainee Mortgage Underwriter

• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong numerical and written skills;
• A good eye for detail;
• The ability to explain complex information clearly and simply;
• The ability to manage workload efficiently;
• The drive & motivation to meet objectives set;
• Educated to at least A level or equivalent; and
• Experience of working within the financial services sector.

Experience tells us that people from a banking, insurance, estate agency or similar background adapt most quickly to working in a specialist mortgage brokerage like us.

However, most of all we are looking for people with great attitudes and great values.

Thirty four years of experience tells us that we can train most people to become a mortgage underwriter but great underwriters have our values in their souls and we cannot train that.
