EXPERIENCED ESTIMATOR
BJ Stainless Fabrications are one of the UK's leading metal fabricators.

We work with a diverse range of customers undertaking work ranging from pharmaceutical to structural steel works in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Established in 2001 we are a privately owned family business with a dedicated team providing a full supply and fit service throughout the UK from unique pieces to multi batch quantities and we are now looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join our growing team based in our facility in the Beeston area of Leeds.

The main duties of the role will be:

Liaising with the Fabrication Manager in order to process customer enquires effectively and confirm lead times.
To seek opportunities to increase profitability of quotations and tenders.
Work closely with clients and project managers during the early stages of tender into final submission.
Visit customer sites as and when required to undertake site measuring for potential jobs training will be given in this area if not experienced.

**Essential skills and experience:

Good steel fabrication/welding knowledge with previous experience of working within the industry in an estimating role/shop floor.
Able to understand drawings and work specifications knowledge of CAD preferred but not essential.
Produce detailed estimates, including the pricing of all necessary items and labour considerations for work/contract execution.
Strong IT skills particularly in MS Office Products, particularly Excel and knowledge of SAGE 50 would be desirable.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities at once.
Understanding of welding and fabrication standards.
Awareness of ISO 9001 quality control procedures and CE Marking.
Good customer facing and presentation skills.
Commercial awareness to maximise profitability and cash flow.
Full Driving Licence.

Benefits:

Salary £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
