Data and Academic Systems Manager
PURPOSE:
To support the class teacher and assist in the support and inclusion of all pupils
JOB PURPOSE
To work with the Manager of Data and Academic Systems to:
- Manage the timeline and production of pupils' academic reports through our Management Information System (SIMS)
- Design and deliver adhoc or routine data reports using SIMS, Excel, and other software as required
- Ensure data is held in a secure and compliant manner, available as appropriate
- Carry out projects and tasks as required by the Manager of Data and Academic Systems and the Senior Management Team
- Undertake reprographic responsibilities in preparation for the internal exam periods as well as supporting Heads of Departments with larger reprographic tasks
- Collate cocurricular activities submissions
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data management
Review, handle, and process data and make the data available for analysis based
upon the needs of the school

Reporting
Manage the Prep School marksheets and templates within SIMS to ensure delivery of
reports in a timely manner. Oversee the mechanics of publishing these reports

Timetabling
Assist with timetabling matters as required throughout the academic year

Service
To provide a first-class customer service to staff within the school when responding to
queries or providing data or guidance

Data quality
Improve and maintain the quality and accuracy of the data the school holds

Support
Support staff with data entry tasks and reprographics
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- High level of proficiency with school specific Management Information System (SIMS)
- Attention to detail and proactive in raising and in the management of issues arising
- Discretion and focus on data protection
- Efficient time and task management
- Proactive and professional communicator (verbal and written)
- Strong interest in continued professional development
GENERAL MATTERS
To assist in such duties and activities relating to the general administration and control of the school as the Headmaster and Governing Body shall, from time to time, reasonably require.
