Gibbs and Dandy are actively looking for a
Internal Sales Advisor to start on an immediate basis working at the Woking branch. A Senior Sales Advisor is an essential role within the branch network, you will build relationshipswith customers and understand their wider requirements in order to maximise sales growth. You will be in regular contact with our customers and therefore you play a huge part in delivering a fantastic customer experience.

  • Experience working within a Builders Merchants would be extremely beneficial
  • An understanding of the construction materials industry
  • A strong Sales focus with experience in a similar role
  • Passion for delivering great customer service
  • Selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative as part of a team
  • Demonstrable customer service focus

Hours of Work: 7:00am-17:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm every other Saturday

What will I be doing?


As this role has a strong focus on sales, we are looking for someone who loves to build relationships with customers and proactively generate sales both face to face and over the phone.

In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;

  • Maximising customer interactions to support achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and crossselling relevant products offering specific product advice
  • Developing new customer accounts and lapsed accounts
  • Build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers, managing feedback accordingly
  • Ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely fashion
  • Supporting all Company initiatives
  • Following plans to continuously improve customer experience
  • Understanding local market issues and communicate to Manager to support sales growth plans
  • Advise customers on trading terms and conditions and information in relation to customer accounts and credit levels
