    Youth Worker - SEN and Behaviour

    Location: Redditch, UK

    Salary: £83 - £100 per day (approx. £17,000 - £21,000 per year)

    About the Role

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join an SEN Secondary School in Redditch.

    The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support, guidance, and encouragement to students with diverse learning needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Planning and facilitating group activities and workshops that promote social skills, emotional well-being, and independence.
    • Working in partnership with the SENCO to work towards achieving EHCP outcomes.

    Requirements

    • Previous experience working as a Youth Worker or in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
    • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and experience working with students with diverse learning needs such as Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
    • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support the well-being and development of young people.
    • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for supporting students with SEN, such as Team Teach, MAPPA, or NAPPI.
    • Relevant qualifications in youth work, social work, education, or a related field.
    • An Enhanced Child Only DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one.
