Hours of work:
7.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday
Enhanced rates are available for optional overtime

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate good safety behaviours in the workplace; ensure all rules / standards and procedures are adhered to at all times; wear correct personal protective equipment.
- Fabricate and weld a range of assembly types to required tolerances and specification, working from fabrication or engineering drawings
- Produce high quality parts in high variety and volume in a targetdriven environment
- Identify and prepare surfaces and materials to expediate weld process
- Carry out weld/fabrication inspections, identify defects and take appropriate action to rectify them
- Meet production targets while maximising efficiency
- Ensuring the safe and controlled movement of production parts
- Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement ideas
- To perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
- To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required to ensure successful delivery of all ongoing works within the company workstream
Essential:
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and measuring tools
- Demonstrate basic understanding of fabrication and use of jigs
- Demonstrate good ability in MIG mild steel welding (preferably in heavy engineering)
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Experience of working on own initiative and acting to resolve any issues impacting upon performance
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge of Health & Safety
- Willing to work overtime if required
- Good physical stamina
Preferred
- Previous experience of working in a fast moving manufacturing/heavy equipment environment.
- Knowledge and experience in abrasive wheels
- Previous experience of TIG welding.
- Familiarity with weld symbology
- Qualified to NVQ Level
- Experience of cranes, overhead gantries, forklifts
