Fabric Operative:

Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - Lewisham

Bouygues Energies and Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team providing maintenance at University Hospital Lewisham.

This is a full-time permanent shift based position working 42 hrs p/week on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 07:00 to 19:00, days only.

Key activities:

Maintain appropriate qualifications and undertake training so to take on AP & CP responsibilities, and uptodate trade knowledge, as may be required for the safe and efficient performance of duties
Immediately report any potentially dangerous situations to the Management and record Hazards and Near Misses in line with management instruction
Order materials and services as required using ordering system and updating records, certify satisfactory delivery / completion
Oversee specialist contractors
Complete all training as required for the role and instructed by Management
Ensure the satisfactory, prompt and accurate completion of any associated paperwork as required by the company, i.e. job record cards, electronic tablets etc
Support and practice the Company's Customer Care Philosophy to ensure customer satisfaction by liasing with the client at all stages
Participation in the emergency oncall system on an agreed rota basis
Comply with the Company's Policies, Management Plans and Procedures

Skills, qualifications & experience:

Will possess varied fabric skills, including fire door checks/repair, fire stopping repair and shower accessory replacements
Understanding of inductions, permit to work systems and safe systems of work
Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
Good understanding of Health & Safety with the ability to perform H&S engagements and training
Understanding of the Maximo CAFM system is desirable
Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, cando attitude
