Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible individual to join our team as a Laundry Assistant.

As a Laundry Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of our clients' clothing and linens.

You will be responsible for collecting, washing, drying, and delivering clothing and linens, all while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collect bags of clothing and linens from clients.
  • Sort and separate different types of clothing and linens.
  • Load and operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for washing, drying, and folding clothes.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of laundry machines and the laundry area.
  • Handle and store chemicals and detergents in a safe and organized manner.
  • Inspect clothing for stains or damages and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that each client's clothing is treated with care and that their items are not mixed.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in laundry operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of laundry equipment and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry laundry bags and stand for extended periods.
