The Role:


The Head of HR for our Beauty office is a key component to the success of the business and the development of its people.

They are a key member of the Beauty Leadership Team (BLT) and will be working alongside the wider UK and Beauty HR team.

It is an important role to ensure business performance and people priorities are constantly driving forward.

The Head of HR Beauty will also support the London and New York teams to implement local policies, processes and initiatives that are important for PZ Cussons development and growth.

The role is intended to support local leaders in embedding the PZ Cussons Purpose, Values and EVP to ensure that teams are engaged, happy and striving


Accountabilities:

  • Support the MD and HR Director in setting clear strategic direction to ensure that we are raising the bar daily
  • Payroll Budget control and monitoring to balance affordability throughout the fiscal year
  • Workforce and Headcount Planning, based on needs of the business, organisation design involvement, headcount and capability growth
  • Play a strategic people focused role in the Beauty Leadership Team by coaching, mentoring and influencing leaders to make the best decisions about their people
  • Work closely with HR Shared Services to ensure a strong and positive employee experience
  • Support Head of Talent and Learning to oversee and strengthen holistic talent and succession plans across Beauty and more widely.
  • Share responsibilities with Reward Lead to ensure a flawless execution of our annual reward cycle and policies
  • Act as a change leader/advocate for key projects including employee engagement to ensure we drive a highperformance culture
  • Successfully champions for Workday with Line Managers and employees, to drive usage and adoption for success
  • Participate in or lead Beauty HR initiatives/programmes/process/policy development including sitebased engagement activities
  • Collaborate with UK and Global teams on best practice to continuously improve and strive for the best

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Significant experience as a HR Generalist
  • Solution focused with strong strategic skills
  • Passionate about working with people and developing their skills whilst establishing credibility all whilst seeking and giving feedback
  • Excellent communication skills with employees at all levels and the ability to challenge where necessary while acting with integrity
  • Strong employment law knowledge across the UK
  • Experience in Organisation Design & Development
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Previous experience of using Workday desirable but not essential
  • Proven ability to work as an integrated member of a business team can give insight/opinion on wider range of business topics
  • Looks for opportunities to grow and develop self as well as others
  • Is resilient and doesn't give up despite obstacles to deliver commitments at high quality
  • Builds credibility and trust quickly with key stakeholders/leaders
  • Can define personal goals in line with organization priorities and reprioritise as per the changing needs of the business
