Fabricator/Fitter

A1 Jobs are recruiting for x 2 Fabricator/Fitters to join our client.

Roles and responsibilities

Works & sitebased fabrication of various types of plastic components such as tanks, scrubbers, ducting, brackets, machine guards, enclosures, lip extract ducts, thermal plastic forming canopies and fume cabinets. Typical materials of construction are polypropylene and uPVC, both with & without GRP reinforcement.
Subassembly of a wide range of equipment.
Installation of small to mediumsized packaged treatment equipment.
Installation of pipework systems, working from design drawings, isometrics and agreed siterun routes.
This means that previous experience in the installation of preengineered and site run pipework systems is essential, including experience with uPVC, ABS, Polypropylene, socket and buttfusion PVDF.
Installation of screwed stainless steel and galvanised steel pipework may be required.
Installation of dual containment pipework.
Production of initial "As-Built" records for installed systems.
Support other company staff in various daytoday activities, as required.
Supervision of subcontract services as and when the need arises.
Support Operations staff in management and distribution of spare parts.
Support Testing & Commissioning activities, when applicable.
Maintaining the workshop in a clean, tidy & safe environment.

Essential requirements

Previous experience in the installation of preengineered and site run pipework systems is essential, including experience with uPVC, ABS, Polypropylene, socket and buttfusion PVDF.
