Job Title - Head of Finace

Location - Portland, Dorset (Hybrid)

Salary - £65,000 - £75,000 per annum

Responsible for:

Reporting to the CFO and partnering with the UKWWS Director, to take up full ownership and head up the Finance Department, leading a team, and being a key member of the senior management team.

The role is an integral part in supporting the business in achieving their growth plans and will be the sounding board and advisor to the CFO and Senior Management team on how the business can grow

Competency & Qualifications:

ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified.
Comfortable working in a handson role, taking ownership of the finance function, in a fastpaced, demanding environment.
A proven senior manager with management qualification or experience managing a multidisciplined team for successful delivery of time critical projects and business outputs.
Commercially adept.
High level of customer service and engagement skills.
Have a high understanding of the business market.
Operational lead, a natural communicator, processdriven, and will be proactive in driving change.
Excellent written, oral communication and IT skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
Excellent leadership skills, selfdriven, motivated and with the ability to prioritise own workload and that of the team.

Key Duties:

Operate as a Key Finance Business Partner:

Partnering with the Director (UKWWS) to support key decision making and forward-looking strategy.
Acting as the Financial Business partner to UKWWS.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the Company.
Identify growth and profitability opportunities.
Provision of financial information, insight, and analysis to operational teams.
Supporting operational delivery.
Challenging performance.
Drive efficiency.
Optimise Operational cost base.
Provide leadership to the Company finance team.
Developing the commercial, value add capabilities of the finance function.
Provide support to the Frameworks/Tendering team to establish rates and charges appropriate to customer needs.
Overall stewardship of the function.
Lead the budgetary, forecasting, and financial reporting activities, report on variations to budget, and suggest improvements.
Lead all elements of Financial Control.
Work collaboratively with the International / Group Finance functions.
Seek continuous improvement within the function, and further develop best practice standards.
Drive dataled decision making on a daytoday and strategic basis.
To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Any other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
