Description
We are recruiting a Purchasing Assistant to join a well-known engineering company based in Wednesbury.You will be responsible for effective ordering of consumables ensuring the supply of goods including production materials and equipment to enable the smooth running of production.
The working hours are 9.15am to 3.15pm Monday to FridayPurchasing coordinator responsibilities:
- Negotiating contract terms and pricing.
- Assessing and monitoring the quality of products
- Comparing and evaluating supplier offers.
- Monitoring stock levels.
- Tracking orders and ensure smooth delivery.
- Develop and build effective relationships with Suppliers and seeks to continually improve the standard of service.
- Raising PO number
- Completing and maintaining purchase orders for raw goods, materials, and supplies
The successful person will have the followings skills:
- Previous experience in purchasing is essential
- A selfstarter with the ability to organise and prioritise duties among multiple projects.
- Ability to plan ahead to meet deadlines with a high level of personal organisation
- Excellent negotiation skills
