The Role


The Pricing Manager is accountable for ensuring accurate forward forecasting of delivered energy prices and robust validation of customer energy rates.

They will manage and develop a team of Analysts to ensure that all fully delivered energy pricing accuratelyreflects expected commodity and non-commodity charges.

They will also be responsible for managing ongoing changes to regulation and charging methodologies; forecasting, presenting and justifying cost impacts.


The Pricing Manager will ensure that all Energy Division rebate income streams are accurately forecast and claimed, in line with the claim schedule.


Key Duties

  • To define and own the strategy of forecasting, validating and setting delivered energy prices to maximise value for LASER and our customers.
  • Manage and coach a team of Analysts to:
  • Forecast changes to the various components of gas and electricity prices and produce forecasts of future delivered energy prices.
  • Validate suppliers' make up of delivered gas and electricity prices to ensure customers receive accurate delivered prices for each contract period.
  • Analyse fixedprice tender submissions to make supplier recommendations to customers.
  • Resolve pricing queries and disputes on behalf of our customers.
  • Establish and manage KPIs to ensure successful service delivery of the team's functions, taking remedial action where necessary.
  • Own and optimise processes to ensure timely, robust and accurate service delivery.
  • Manage a structured claim schedule, for all Energy Division rebate income streams, and report on budget, forecast and actual claim values.
  • Ensure all supplier rebate claims are completed accurately and in line with the agreed scheduled timescales.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Team in ensuring that all trading basket reconciliations are accurately processed.
  • To enhance data management tools that enable data to be processed more effectively and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of Pricing Team outputs.
  • Work with the Contracts Manager to ensure that supplier performance is monitored and enables successful delivery of the pricing service.
