This is a really exciting time to join the Asda business as we endeavour to separate our systems and operations from Walmart due to the acquisition by the Issa brothers and TDR private equity.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Process Specialist to join the Future Finance team (equivalent of Finance Analyst)
The Future programme will drive change across the whole of the Asda organisation.
The Finance function is going to experience big change but will also be integral to supporting the wider business with their transformation activities.
We are looking to supplement the current Finance functional project team with Business Process Leads to work with Finance colleagues to deliver the programme.
The Asda Finance team is c. 250 colleagues covering financial operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable. Record to report etc), commercial business partnering, financial planning and analysis, controllership, tax, treasury & pensions, internal audit and investor relations.Please note this is a 12 month Secondment / fixed term position, but a high percentage of our
fixed term colleagues secure permanent opportunities
along the way.
Your Role
You will help to design and deploy new processes across Finance, including Fixed Assets, Record to Report and Commercial Finance / Business Partnering.
You will also support on project activities such as data cleansing and remediation, data mapping, transition planning and enactment, UAT testing and go-live requirements.
You will be passionate about coaching, providing support and guidance to finance and non-finance colleagues in order to overcome challenges and roll-out new processes.

- SAP and/or Finance functional experience
- An aptitude for working with numbers and large data sets, with experience in MS Excel
- Qualified/partqualified accountant
