The role


The focus of this role is to manage a team of finance staff in building partnerships with senior management stakeholders across the university on a cross-section of financial, accounting activities and projects.

The aim is to drive impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance and analysis, enabling a link to financial data to inform business strategies.

You'll positively challenge Senior Leaders, budgets and business activities to enable the best business outcomes are delivered.


Skills and experience required:


  • Must be a qualified CCAB/CIMA Accountant (membership)
  • Team development and leadership skills
  • Accounting experience within a complex organisation
  • Financial administration experience within a complex organisation
  • Understanding of accounting IT packages and systems
  • Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel experience
  • Confidence in business partner engagement, communication, and analytical skills
