Job role overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Production Planner.

As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and planning the production schedule to ensure efficient operations in order to continue our high standards to our customers.

This position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of business processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Generate weekly production plans to maximise product availability and positively impact the business's sales capacity
  • Ensure sales forecast and capacity levels are kept up to date by working along side the sales and Customer Service team
  • Work with the production manager to implement the weekly planning meeting with machines and resources needed to meet sales forecast
  • Ensure that SAP stock levels are correct, and all materials required for the production process are available.
  • Ensure print varieties are planned weekly to reflect the resources needed to achieve orders
  • Ensure you are aware of any planned maintenance on machines from the maintenance manager is inline with the PPM schedule so you can unplan machines and it not affect orders
  • Ensure scheduling of machines are scheduled correctly for Live production reporting and the Production manager is aware
  • Work with the Production Manager to ensure reduction of slowmoving stocks and materials are managed
  • Manage the new product introduction process to ensure that all materials, information's, and details are well known and all in place prior to first preproduction runs. It is expected that this will be done by bringing all stake holders together for pre meetings prior to first production runs.
  • Inventory management with all production team managers to meet production requirements
  • Resolve issues that could impact production

Skills and Knowledge
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

  • Strong understanding of production systems and processes
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practices
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software or SAP systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment capabilities and limitations
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams
  • Detailoriented mindset to ensure accuracy in scheduling and documentation
  • Familiarity with supply chain management concepts

Job Types:

Salary:
£29,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
