Construction Work and Skills Brokerage Officer

12 months Secondment/Fixed Term contract
"Croydon Works" is a Job Brokerage service to supporting the residents of Croydon in to employment or work related training. With exciting times ahead for Croydon we want to ensure our residents are the first to benefit from the jobs and opportunities coming in to the Borough.

The Construction Work and Skills Brokerage Officer will support the Croydon Works service with mapping out the skills needs across the numerous developments within Croydon in order to devise suitable training programmes for residents allowing them to access the jobs created by the regeneration.

You will be the main point of contact for Construction employers looking to fill live vacancies with local residents and will manage relationships with major developers to ensure optimum employment outcomes for local residents while supporting employers to bridge skills gaps.

You will work closely with internal departments responsible for commissioning developments and builds in Croydon as well as developers to understand the needs for current and future works.

You will be travelling to developers sites and holding regular meetings with internal and external stake holders and will be responsible for producing reports.
