Camfaud Group is the largest concrete pump hire company in the UK.

Camfaud Group employs over 300 staff across various depots across the UK and due to our continued expansion, we are actively seeking Trainee Plant Engineer/Fitter to join the team.

Job Spec:

We are currently looking for a trainee mechanics based out of our Astley workshop who are willing to learn how to service, maintain and fix our concrete pumping plant (including static concrete pumps, agitators and grout pumps), both in the workshop and at customer sites.

If you show us your hard-working and interested in career in Premier, we will support you with the Plant Mechanic Apprenticeship Level 2 Land Based Service Engineer after 6-12 months.

During your training you will also support with general yard duties.

Your duties will include:

Supporting our experienced Plant Engineer/Fitter to maintain, service and fix our plant
Following safety and housekeeping standards in your area of work both in our workshop and at customer sites
Maintaining knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements in relation to your role
Undertaking regular relevant maintenance procedures to ensure the plant serviced in line with protocols
Ensuring issues that are solved remain operational with minimum interruption of service
Loading / unloading of equipment
Ensuring the yard, workshop and office areas are kept tidy
Monitoring stocks on fluids & ancillary equipment
Delivering parts to site and assisting fitters on site
Representing Premier Concrete Pumping in a professional and knowledgeable way
General yard and workshop maintenance as required

Salary:
Up to £18k per year

Hours:
8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive with a lunch break of one hour.

Pension:
Auto-enrolment

Annual leave: 20 days + bank holidays
