    Job Role: WIP Management and Billing Specialist

    This is an exciting new role that will work closely with the CFO and finance team to manage our working in progress (WIP) and billing processes.

    • Develop and streamline our WIP and billing processes, ensuring best practice is implemented across the firm.
    • Build relationships with key stakeholders and implement regular WIP review meetings with partners and directors.
    • Serve as the centre of excellence for all WIP management and billing issues, ensuring timely payment and effective management of fee-earning teams.
    • Manage compliance with our lockup policy for WIP and write-offs.
    • Provide training and guidance on best revenue management practices.
    • Develop meaningful WIP reporting for the CFO.
    • Ensure compliance with time recording and management policies, including monitoring of missing timesheets and incorrect time recording behaviour.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Manage and mitigate WIP exposure through efficient processes and automated tools.

    - Implement regular WIP review meetings with partners and directors to ensure alignment and best practice.

    - Develop and maintain comprehensive WIP and billing reports for the CFO and senior leadership.

    - Provide expert guidance on revenue management and cash flow optimisation.

    - Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.

    Requirements:

    - 5+ years of experience in revenue control and management within the professional services sector.

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

    - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.

    - Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with Practice Engine/Practice Management Systems and PowerBI is a plus.

    - Ability to think strategically and drive forward best practice revenue management behaviours across the firm.

    - Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
