An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to work in the Trusts Management Accounts Team.

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our Management Accounts team based at 200 Lichfield Lane, Mansfield, Notts.


The role will entail supporting Accountants with the provision of Management Accounting and Financial Management information and working on a range of ad hoc projects.


This post requires somebody with GCSE Maths and English at grades A-C or equivalent and also with skills on computerised systems and spreadsheets in order to manipulate and input data.

You should have a basic knowledge of finance and an understanding of how NHS finances operate.

Good IT and communication skills are essential.

You will be required to work to deadlines and therefore have the ability to prioritise effectively and be flexible in your approach to your working hours.

Efficient secretarial/administration/reception support.

To undertake office duties including diary management and message management, dealing with telephone calls and enquiries, production of documents, electronic filing, facilitating meetings, accurate minute taking,

Ability to work flexibly and provide cover where needed.

To support the Finance Teams, in preparation of month end accounts, and financial analysis.

The role will entail supporting Accountants with the provision of Management Accounting and Financial Management information, and working on a range of ad hoc projects

The post holder will be part of a team based at 200 Lichfield Lane, Mansfield.

You will be directly involved in the maintenance of the general ledger, provision of standard and ad hoc reporting and Management Accounts, ensuring compliance with all finance policies and procedures [including the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions].
