Astrum Search is working exclusively with a growing UK-listed services business to recruit an Internal Audit Manager.

The business is highly ambitious and has plans to double its revenue over the next 5 years through organic growth and acquisition.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Manager will play a key role in delivering the audit plan but also the continued development of the function as the business grows.

The role is based in their head office in Kent (close to the borderwith London) and you are expected to be office based 2-3 days per week when not travelling.

Travel is solely UK based and is expected to be no more than 30% of the time. The majority of the travel will be day trips as opposed to extended periods away fromhome.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head of Internal Audit in planning and executing riskbased audits
Support the Head of Internal Audit in appraising internal audit working practices, identify areas of improvement to develop the function
Lead and participate in open and close meetings with senior management
Assist the Group entities in identifying and managing risk
Take ownership for the review and closure of corrective actions
Develop close working relationships with key stakeholders, including the CFO, entity MD's and finance leaders.

Skills & Experience:

Qualified accountant or internal auditor (ACA/ACCA/IIA)
Previous internal audit experience is a key requirement (either from industry or practice)
A confident communicator with a proactive and cando approach
A commercial mindset with the ability to communicate complex issues and influence others
Flexible to travel up to 30% within the UK
