Production/Machine Operator Required Great Gransden (SG19), Immediate Start Available

Proactive are currently recruiting for a Production/Machine Operator to work for a manufacturing company based in Great Gransden, Bedfordshire


The main duty will be assembling companies products using a number of hand and power tools in the process process, eg.

Nail guns, hammers, routers, cross cut saws, tables saws. All training will be provided.


You will learn and be competent on as many pieces of different equipment as at all possible thus aiding your team in becoming multi skilled.

You will ensure that all production processes are operated to the highest levels at all times meeting or surpassing targets and objectives, taking into account that you maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Cut timbers, insulation and materials to size ready for assembly
  • Accurately components from drawings from drawings
  • Work as part of a team
  • Demonstrate safe use of machinery and hand tools
  • Meet production requirements in terms of quality, accuracy and safety, whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance with all the company policies and procedures
  • Ensure Health and Safety is adhered to at all times
  • All training will be provided.


We are looking for a good team player with a 'can do' attitude, a flexible operative who is willing to be trained in all areas of the manufacturing business whatever line and area this may be.


To be considered for this role you will need the following skills/experience:

  • Previous experience working within production/manufacturing environments, ideally machine operating or assembly
  • Good working within a team and on your own initiative
  • Good attention to detail in order to understand and correctly follow processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Have good time keeping skills
  • Posses a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Be professional and approachable

More about the role:


  • Hours
  • Monday to Friday 8.00am4.30pm
  • Rate £11.00£12.00 per hour
  • Start date: ASAP following interview process Duration: Full-Time ongoing assignment with view to permanent contract
