Description
We are looking for an ACA or CTA qualified Accountant to take on a first Group Tax Manager role in this growing FTSE 250 business.
The Group Tax Manager will work closely with and support the Group Head of Tax, Group Finance, and our DivisionalFinancial Controllers. As Group Tax Manager you will manage and review the Group's UK tax filings,
monitor, and further develop the Group's tax risk and control framework, support the year-end
financial reporting process and implementation of a new financial system, and monitor overseas tax
compliance. You will also provide tax advice and support on various projects and any tax authority
and audit enquiries.
- Manage the UK Corporation Tax filings including an R&D claim and CFC assessment.
- Review the UK VAT returns and Employee Tax filings including P11Ds, PSA, STBV and ERS.
- Monitor and support overseas Financial Controllers in particular to ensure all corporation tax
- Support Group Finance with annual financial reporting, tax provisioning and disclosures and
- Maintain the Group's Tax Risk Register.
- Support Group Finance with monitoring, developing, and documenting the implementation
- Review and maintain internal procedures, guidance, and training for staff involved in tax
- Support the Group Head of Tax's review of the Group's tax policies and procedures.
- Undertake half year and annual reviews of the implementation of Transfer Pricing policy
Controllers with local Transfer Pricing documentation and prepare for Country-by-Country
Reporting.
- Liaise with the Group Auditors and other stakeholders on tax reporting enquiries.
- Provide tax specialist support on projects and tax enquiries.
- Tax professional ACA or CTA ideally 4 years qualified.
- Experience of preparing or reviewing UK corporation tax and ideally VAT returns.
- Technically up to date and aware of legislative changes
- Experience of financial accounting standards (IAS & UK GAAP).
- Experience of extracting systems data would be advantageous.
