    We are looking to appoint highly motivated Nursing Associates with a passion for delivering safe, high-quality care to patients in a community setting.


    We currently have vacancies across our District Nursing Teams, with a range of flexible working hours available, including full-time positions.

    Our District Nursing service consists of qualified District Nurses, Senior Nurses, Staff Nurses, Nursing Associates, and Clinical support worker who work autonomously and collaboratively to provide a wide range of complex nursing care primarily within patients' homes.


    As a valued member of our District Nursing Team, you will be supported through a comprehensive induction, preceptorship, or mentorship programme, depending on your level of experience.

    You Will Have The Opportunity To

    Work across a range of community clinical settings, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience.
    Develop skills in wound management, catheter care, and medication administration.
    Contribute to the ongoing care planning for patients in the community.

    Work closely with GPs, community teams, and voluntary sector partners to deliver person-centred care that promotes independence and supports patients to remain at home.

    Main duties

    The Nursing Associate plays a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team.

    Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other healthcare professional, the Nursing Associate will contribute to the delivery of safe, compassionate care that promotes health, independence, and wellbeing in line with Trust values and behaviours.


    As an accountable professional, the post holder will carry out specific clinical tasks within their defined scope of practice, and may at times work independently, following an individual's plan of care while escalating concerns as appropriate.

    They will be expected to maintain professional standards, uphold patient dignity and confidentiality, and contribute to continuous improvement and learning within their team.

    Foundation Degree:
    Nursing Associate Qualification

    NMC Registered Nursing Associate
    Completion of End Point Assessment (for those via apprenticeship route)
    GCSE Grade AC (or Level 2) in English and Maths
    IELTS score of 7.0 (where English is a second language)
    Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development

    Experience

    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in the clinical area
    Experience of working as part of a team
    Experience engaging with the public, demonstrating strong customer care skills
    Experience in health coaching and promoting independent living

    Knowledge and Awareness

    Self-awareness of strengths and development needs, with willingness to seek guidance
    Understanding of the Nursing Associate role within the wider team and organisation
    Awareness of when to escalate or refer to a registered healthcare professional
    Understanding of the importance of health promotion and Making Every Contact Count (MECC)
    Awareness of scope of practice and personal limitations
