The Vacancy

About the role and the team


As
Supported Lodgings Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring all young people referred to the service, are assessed, supported and placed effectively with their hosts.


In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training and management of hosts, as well as promoting the service to key stakeholders, and supporting young people directly.


You will collaborate with the team that is working across the borough of Cheshire West and Chester, and you will be responsible for the effective delivery of our service in this location.


You will also be responsible for young people needing longer term placements, as well as sharing responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all hosts and staff at the service.

Please note that the post holder will be working predominantly in Chester and Ellesmere Port.

About you:

You will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.

  • Experience and an understanding of working with people experiencing homelessness, or people in crisis
  • Experience of supporting young people with their support needs, working closely with other key professionals.
  • Experience of writing, implementing and evaluating risk assessments
  • Experience of supervising or supporting hosts or staff
