The Data Analyst, being part of the Data Analysis, Rules & Transform team, supports the end-to-end migration of Local Authorities data on the Local Land Charges (LLC) programme which our client is undertaking on behalf of a customer.


The data analyst will quickly get to grips with LLC data sets, gain a good understanding of the technical concepts and rules and support the inspection, cleansing and transformation of these datasets.


The data analyst will work across the migration lifecycle, stewarding the LLC data from gaining initial sight and handover from the early engagement teams, through the Discovery phases and then onwards throughout the production migration phases.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the Local Land Charges work programme by performing geospatial and nongeospatial data analysis across the various stages and lifecycle of the programme
  • Support the Discovery Team by identifying input datasets including quantifying data quality, and coverage and assessing complexity through exploratory and processdriven data analysis
  • Support the Production team by evaluating input datasets against our existing processes and workflows; effort estimation and change management; evaluating progress and supporting the wider production team in ensuring data processing tasks are completedon time and to agreed quality standards
  • Identification and evaluation of data and quality rules per customer, and supporting the implementation of these with the development team, as well as supporting the quality manager to identify the impact on quality and service level agreements
  • Support the quality manager in identifying test criteria and writing test cases as well as performing exploratory data testing

Key skills:

  • Demonstrable experience performing data analysis on geospatial and nongeospatial data sets using a variety of tools, languages and documenting processes
  • Comfortable working with tools and languages such as Excel and SQL
  • Highly advantageous: Experience working with ArcGIS Pro and/or FME; Knowledge of Python/other scripting languages
  • Experience in working with data systems and data processing pipelines and managing change
  • Experience working with Local Land Charges and/or Local Authority planningrelated systems and data is highly advantageous
  • Experience with data testing is highly advantageous
