As a result, we now have an exciting new opportunity for an Inventory Planner to join our Forecast & Inventory Team.
This role will focus on balancing the maximisation of DWA (and sales) for subsets of product ranges/departments with lowering operating costs across Supply chain & Logistics and Retail operations.
To ensure that available stock is systemically distributed to the right channel, to the right location and in the right quantities to minimise trapped stock, maximise DWA, minimise operating cost and maximise inventory turns.
What you'll be involved in:
- Product Segmentation: Delivering segmentation analysis including the monitoring and subsequent authorising of movement between segments.
- Inventory Management: Validating VM and Presentation settings, regularly reviewing top down (MP) vs bottom up (JDA) stock projections and authorising any required action to close the gap. Responding to trade and adjusting inventory parameters and replenishment approaches
- Inventory Segmentation: Implementing inventory segmentation approach that determines the required stock holding at sizelocation level and implementing this across the replenishment system to all channels. Carrying out movement between segments and continuous improvement of the framework
- Complete analysis and modelling to inform Inventory Planning Manager decision making for replenishment optimisation
Including:
Pick frequency at stroke-colour and size-store level; Best-fit replenishment strategy at stroke-colour and size-store level (e.g. continuous replenishment vs min/max vs periodic replenishment); Delivery schedule changes
- Availability: Monitoring Demand Weighted Availability across all of clothing & Home and reacting accordingly. Aligning DRP Timefence maintenance across all areas. Delivers promotional, peak and new launch stock builds through timely and accurate allocations
- Sale Stock Pushes: Ensure sale stock is implemented in the most profitable way and lands in time for sale launch
- Listings: Managing any adjustments to store gradings, catalogues, MCDQ and listings. Coordinating creation of Outlets catalogues in JDA
- Network Planning & Logistics: Inform the roll up of Clothing & Home weekly send forecasts provided to Network Planning. Ensure any issues in the logistics network are resolved in a timely manner. Support planning team to manage controlled flow and delivery transparency
We are looking for someone with a commercial approach and a solid understanding of sales forecasting and supply chain processes.
In addition, you will need:
- To be highly organised with any eye for detail and able to juggle multiple conflicting priorities
- To have strong IT literacy skills including experience with or capability to use analytics tools, e.g. JDA, SQL, databases, Spotfire and be proficient in Microsoft Excel to perform detailed analysis
- The ability to build strong cross functional relationships and challenge, influence and persuade others to move towards a common vision or goal in a fastpaced environment where no two days are the same
