Description

Are you interested in joining the Careers Service to play a key role in supporting student employability and local employer engagement? The Careers Service supports students of all levels and disciplines as well as recent graduates and early career researchers and forms part of Academic Programmes and Student Engagement.

The First Contact Senior Administrator (Jobshop) is being offered as a 3 day a week post left vacant by the current post holder who is undertaking an internal secondment.

The main focus of this role is to support students in their search for part-time work and other work experience both on and off campus, assist internal colleagues with the recruitment of student casual workers; and work with external employers to promote our services and increase the volume of opportunities available to University of Sheffield students.

The role will work closely with HR to provide a streamlined service to meet the needs of our key stakeholders.

You will be required to liaise and build relationships with the wider University body to ensure a seamless transition to the revised system and beyond.

This is a Grade 5, 3 day a week role available immediately until the 10 September 2023 so we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

As we are a front facing team the ideal working days would be Monday, Tuesday and Friday in order to ensure our rota is adequately staffed but this can be discussed further at interview.

This would be an ideal secondment opportunity for someone wishing to develop new skills and perspectives from working in a different area which can support your career development and progression.
