Because that's who we're doing it for - the communities and businesses that make our town great. As part of the Council, you will support a friendly local authority making decisions with real impact. It's all for better public services, better processes, and a better quality of life, for everyone. Join us, and Swindon will be better with you.

You are one of our integral Live Well Project Support Officers. Our Project Support officers work across the team, ensuring that all our projects run smoothly and efficiently.

The team are often customer facing and work hard to deliver projects that improve health outcomes, and reduce inequalities for local people.

We are currently focussing on a number of projects including Health Inequalities, Volunteering, Migrant Health and the Cost of Living.

This role specifically focus on Volunteering and the post holder will contribute to projects and activities that in particular, support the recruitment of new volunteers to our local heroes programme.

Local Heroes are volunteers who sign up to participate in ad hoc volunteering which benefits community members who don't have the benefit of a network of friends or family.

We focus on providing opportunities for connection to the wider community and welcome participation from all of Swindon's residents to ensure a holistic and universal offer.

You will always be curious to notice if someone you are working with might benefit from additional support or advice to ensure that residents, especially those facing the greatest inequalities, have positive healthy lives.
