Cove Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a Groundworker on behalf of a niche construction/civils contractor based in Newport, with contracts fulfilled nationwide.


Main Purpose

Duties

  • Site clearance
  • Excavations
  • Blinding concrete
  • Assisting with form work and steel cage installation
  • Pouring and floating concrete
  • Back filling and compacting
  • Drainage and ducting installation
  • Cable trough installation
  • Kerbing
  • Concrete access road installation
  • Bund construction
  • Site compaction and final chippings
  • Plant operating (Authorisation required)

Requirements:


  • Full driving licence
  • Construction site experience beneficial
  • NG Person/ Competent Person
  • Hard working, reliable and punctual
  • Have good communication skills and be able to work on your initiative.
  • Ability to work as a team member or in isolation
  • CSCS
  • Plant operators' authorisations
  • Methodical approach with good attention to detail

Benefits
- £19.21 per hour (40 hours a week)
- £19.21 x 1.5 for hours beyond the weekly 40

  • 28 days holiday, plus bank holidays
  • Company vehicle to take you to site
