Romano Education are working with a partner Primary school school in Inskip, Preston to find them a fulltime general Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in their mixed reception and year 1 class to start ASAP.

This position is fulltime and the hours are Monday - Friday 8.50am - 3.30pm with a 1 hour lunch break.

This role is term time only.

Pay rate: £13.20 per hour ltd._

Some of the main duties of the role will include but are not limited to:

To work with groups of children under the supervision of the teacher including the delivery of programmes of work and implementation of support plans
Supervise and provide support for pupils, including those with special needs ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
Give regular feedback on children's development to the class teacher and file records
Attend to children's personal needs, including pastoral, social, health, physical hygiene, and minor first aid and welfare matters
Establish good relationships with pupils, taking on role model by presenting a positive personal image and responding appropriately to individual needs
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
To provide a happy, stimulating, safe, and secure environment where all children are encouraged to meet their potential and where their physical, emotional, and intellectual needs are met
To liaise with parents to ensure that they are happy with the standard of care and have sufficient knowledge of their child's progress.

What you will need;

Experience within the last two years working with children, this can be in any setting, school, nurseries, scout leader, sports coach etc and can be paid or voluntary work.
Desired but not essential, experience working with vulnerable adults or children with special needs including ADHD, Autism or SEN.
Desired but not essential, level 1, 2 or 3 Teaching assistant, supporting children in schools or equivalent childcare qualification
Desired but not essential, experience working within a Nursing home or with vulnerable adults as a support worker or care assistant.
