The role of Clinical SARC Manager is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.

Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower them to feel in control and where applicable, supportthem during the forensic examination process.


Each county has its own dedicated Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), the service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of sexual assault and rape.

Mountain Healthcare are a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs in locations across the UK.


For this role you will work as the Clinical SARC Manager and will be responsible for co-ordinating all activities related to the smooth-running of the SARC.


The Clinical SARC Manager will effectively lead and manage this multi-agency centre and services, playing a pivotal role in developing a strategic vision for the service ensuring changes meet internal and external expectations and meets budgetary constraintswho will help cover the service (predominantly) out of office hours, including nights and weekends.


Clinical SARC Manager
This role is full-time, 40 hours per week, weekdays 9am - 5pm.


The role will include:

- co-ordinating and delivering safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC meeting national and local targets in relation to rape and sexual assault.
- evaluating and assessing current service delivery and implement changes in practice that deliver significant and substantial improvements in access and service delivery, whilst working within a budget.
- the management of all employees associated with the SARC.

Please note:

There is a requirement to be flexible to cover on call shifts as and when required 7am - 7pm and to travel to SARC's if needed.

Essential Skills

  • Registered General/Adult Nursing qualification
  • A minimum of 3+ year post qualification experience
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people
  • Excellent communication skills
  • People management skills
  • Leadership and management experience

Must have a full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working in a field related to sexual health
  • Acute healthcare experience (e.g., A&E, custody/prison nursing)
  • Experience of supporting victims of sexual assault
  • Further clinical forensic qualification such as SOM, Licentiate
  • Mentoring experience
  • Forensic exposure
