Description
Support Worker/Buddy required to work with a 13-year-old boy who has a learning difficulty and a physical disability, living in Carlisle.
The role will involve supporting the client in community activities such as sports, shopping, and other leisure activities, whilst promoting his rehabilitation and being able to facilitate therapeutic activities.
The role also involves providing support to the family unit, and ensuring his social, emotional, and physical needs are met.
The support worker will understand and liaise with the various treating therapists to work under guided programmes and support our client with regular exercises, aids and equipment.
Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.
Rates of pay £14.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £16.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday.
An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
