This role is a 6 month contract position located in our lovely head office Union, based in the heart of Manchester City Centre.

There is a chance this could be extended/made permanent.

The team:

In the day to day you'll work in an experienced team of four
. Contributing to the creation of enviable and creative workspaces for our customers as well as improving our own buildings.


Job purpose:


The Junior Interior Designer is part of our ever growing and evolving Design team, playing a key part in the customer journey, working on a variety of design projects and being involved in the end to end design process.


We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer who is deeply passionate about design, keeps up to date with trends, has creative flair, takes a customer focused approach and has experience in a similar role, working at this level.


What will you be doing:


  • Prepare, develop and deliver a project under supervision, you will be involved in creating concept and developed design through to technical details and onsite support during construction.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to provide space plans to prospective Bruntwood customers.
  • Explore customer requirements, and understand how they look to use their space, making suggestions of how they might improve this.
  • Visit buildings and suites to get to know the space, check measurements, and site restrictions.
  • Order and coordinate samples for your projects.
  • Contact product suppliers to obtain product information.
  • Support the wider team on other projects and take direction when required.
  • Take a customer focused approach to everything you do to ensure all projects are delivered within agreed timescales and budget.
  • Establish great relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be a champion for our brand and ensure you implement projects in line with our brand guidelines.

What we're looking for:


  • Someone who has a related degree with postgraduate experience in a similar role, concentrating on workplace or commercial projects.
  • Good understanding of FF&E knowledge for the workplace and commercial environment
  • If you have experience of using Revit this would be great, however we're open to experience in other software packages such as; Adobe Suite and AutoCad
  • Have an understanding of current regulations and Statutory Authority requirements
