What can I expect?


Joining our Developer Services team, you will liaise with housing developers as a central point of contact for drainage and water supply issues on all aspects of new development.

As part of this role, you will also interact with local councils, the public and other external stakeholders.


Our work is a key part of ensuring new developments are built to the right standards and on time, and we're renowned for delivering a professional, high-quality service, providing accurate and timely advice.


As an Inspector, you will be working within our Development Engineering team which covers the areas of Somerset and North Wiltshire, where you will primarily be involved with inspections of constructed works and reviewing surveys to ensure that any changes to our existing systems are constructed in accordance with industry standards.


What do I need?


You will be joining a busy team, where we support one another and work closely to make sure our customers are satisfied.

Therefore, you will need to be able to stay organised and effective under pressure, prioritising workloads to meet our high standards of service.


You will also need an understanding of drainage design, operation and construction practices and although we don't need you to be a qualified site engineer you must have extensive experience of testing and inspecting works on active building sites which includes reviewing and reporting on cctv surveys.


Day to day, you'll be visiting customers and sites therefore you must have customer service experience and the ability to deal with a wide range of customers efficiently and professionally.


Due to the nature of this role and the requirement to travel to and from sites and location it is essential for you to hold a valid driving licence.
