Your Tasks

  • A unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Administrator to support electromagnetic and safety product testing activities.

    After a period of training, the individual will be expected to carry out a varied role, supporting with general test laboratory administration as well as supporting project coordination activities for testing projects.

    Although the individual will be expected to develop their technical knowledge in the area, no prior experience of EMC or Safety testing is necessary.

    Full training will be given to the right individual.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing the office management and administrational support for the Bearley office, including dealing with local contractors, maintaining local leave records, dealing with customer enquiries, raising purchase orders and the general day

  • Receipt and handling of laboratories test samples.
  • Ensure projects are booked on the facility plan and that the facility plan is kept up to date.
  • Project management of test programs
  • Scheduling testing, communicating progress with client, generation of final reports, generating invoices.
  • Generation of testing logbooks and job folders for engineers.
  • Manage Bearley monthly KPI's.
  • Raise & goods receipt note all purchase orders.
  • Manage monthly/weekly forecasts.
  • Generation of testing quotations.
  • Ensure all subcontract arrangements are in place as required.
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects.
  • To act as TUV's point of contact with the Vehicle Certification Agency and project manage all VCA projects within the business. To maintain calibration logistics records and movements between internal /external test laboratories.

Your Qualifications

  • Good IT skills i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to learn and utilise in house and bespoke systems.
  • Recent technical administration or project coordination experience.
  • Ability to multitask and address general administration in parallel with managing multiple projects.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally.
  • A good understanding of practical financial issues and commercial fundamentals.
  • Good communication skills and customer approach.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Ability to access the Bearley location independently as public transport links can be tricky.

Desirable Criteria - it would be beneficial, but not essential to have:

  • Recognised Business or Technical qualification e.g HND/Degree.
  • Previous experience of working in a test lab environment. Previous project management experience.
