Why this job matters

As a Digital Product Owner, you will manage teams in coordinating product development programs across BT Group, managing the implementation and impact of company product strategies, product management, user experience (UX), software engineering, and analysis across multiple product lines.


  • This role will lead on productising and developing our IoT solution platform which today services a number of customers both internal and external to BT.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the implementation of product management vision and strategy
  • Managing and leading teams across a range of product management activities including UX (user experience), product management, segmentation and research
  • Managing the prioritisation and development of the set product's roadmap to deliver value to customers and the business
  • Managing the scope of product launches to deliver key capabilities on time and on budget
  • Identifying new products or enhancements to existing products by understanding and analysing user needs, BT Group's current product suite and business requirements of internal functions like sales and delivery
  • Facilitating partnerships with analytics and engineering teams, and interfacing with cross functional stakeholders e.g. executives, sales, product, marketing, legal, and customer success teams to fulfil the product backlog using Scrum/ Agile methodologies
  • Coordinating teams in the analysis of customer behaviour, developing metrics and cultivating novel techniques to help customers
  • Driving the development of comprehensive product requirements to instrument new tracking events, build data tools, pipelines, analytic dashboards and visualisations
  • Ensuring product compliance and awareness with local regulations and inputs where appropriate
  • Championing, continuously developing and sharing with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in product management
  • Coaching talent and managing others, to develop capabilities and ensure performance through upskilling, development and recruitment
  • Implementin ways to improve working processes within the area of product management.

You'll need the following experience

  • Creating clientfacing digital solutions thorough experience of designing, developing, optimising, and maintaining client facing digital solutions within B2B marketing and sales environments
  • Experience of leading large teams in a complex corporate environment
  • Experience executing digital strategy and pushing digital maturity across the organisation
