RPS is looking to appoint a
Head of Bid Management for the
Renewable Energy and wider
Energy team.


We provide deep technical expertise alongside a well-rounded service offering for our clients - you will work with teams delivering Energy projects that matter to create a sustainable future for our communities and the environment.


The Role


The Head of Bid Management has overall responsibility for managing the full bid process across our Renewables and Energy segments in existing and emerging markets.


The role will involve leadership of the Bid Team, working closely with our clients and internal stakeholder teams through the bid life cycle to deliver a compelling offer to our clients to help win business.


Some of the Key Responsibilities:


  • Structure and lead significant, complex regional and international bid opportunities whilst taking overall responsibility for the coordination of the technical, commercial, financial, tax, key account, HSSEQ and group inputs into the bids
  • Take overall responsibility for tracking and reporting on pipeline activity, scheduling, deadlines and bid quality and suggest improvements to internal processes related to bid management in order to support continuous improvement
  • Implement a robust set of procedures to manage and streamline the bid lifecycle
  • Ensure prequalification and tender documentation is prepared in accordance with Company's lMS and in consultation with appropriate teams
  • Produce accurate bid pricing for internal approval and to meet with bid requirements and negotiate contract terms following input from the commercial team
  • Provide project and contract handover information to project managers and support project managers with sales aftercare to clients
  • Coordinate our responses to call offs under our key client frameworks

Who are we ideally looking for?

  • Ideally you will have experience of leading complex multidisciplinary bids, framework management, and providing expert bid coordination and management within a consulting, professional services, marine or construction organisation as a Bid Manager or similar
  • APMP or another bid/project management qualification/s is highly desirable as well as being educated to Degree level or equivalent
