Bridge Recruitment Ltd are currently looking for a Hydraulic Engineer for their client based close to Kirkbymoorside. As a Hydraulic Engineer you'll work as part of a multi-discipline team working on new and existing designs. Due to the location of the role,you will require a driving license and your own vehicle.What's in it for you?
- £29,000 per annum
- 37 hours per week (08:30 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:30 16:00 Friday)
- Overtime paid at time and a half Monday
- Saturday

- Provide design input on projects and help ensure the suitability of engineering aspects of company products for their function.
- Produce engineering designs, specifications, and documentation to ISO 900
- Assist sales and marketing with the preparation of quotes and proposals, assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
- Provide technical support to the production, logistics and integrations departments as well as offsite support for new products.
- Design of complex hydraulic systems and pumping systems (oil and water).
- Systems component selection, cylinders, valves, pumps, motors etc.
- Pipework layout and support, fitting systems, etc.
- Knowledge of load, deflection and stress analysis & knowledge of control engineering and control software.
- Geotechnical, soil mechanics and water jetting calculations.
- Gas systems design, breathing and highpressure air systems.
- CFD Analysis using Ansys and/or SolidWorks Simulation.
- Structural analysis, scoping calculations, hand calculations.
- Completing and checking designs and documentation.
- Tolerancing, limits and fits.
- Drawing layout and symbols.
- Flexibility, adaptability and professionalism, with the ability to work cooperatively as part of a multidiscipline team or individually on projects.
- Ability to liaise with other members of staff including customers and third parties.
- Time management with ability to plan work loadings, multitask, and work under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, clear technical writing, good record keeping.
- Attention to detail and effective checking regime.
- Software skills. Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/DraftSight, SolidWorks and conversant with Mathcad.
