Bridge Recruitment Ltd are currently looking for a Hydraulic Engineer for their client based close to Kirkbymoorside. As a Hydraulic Engineer you'll work as part of a multi-discipline team working on new and existing designs. Due to the location of the role,you will require a driving license and your own vehicle.

- £29,000 per annum

37 hours per week (08:30 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 08:30 16:00 Friday)
Overtime paid at time and a half Monday

Your new role as a Hydraulic Engineer

Provide design input on projects and help ensure the suitability of engineering aspects of company products for their function.
Produce engineering designs, specifications, and documentation to ISO 900
Assist sales and marketing with the preparation of quotes and proposals, assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
Provide technical support to the production, logistics and integrations departments as well as offsite support for new products.

Qualifications & Technical Competencies

Design of complex hydraulic systems and pumping systems (oil and water).
Systems component selection, cylinders, valves, pumps, motors etc.
Pipework layout and support, fitting systems, etc.
Knowledge of load, deflection and stress analysis & knowledge of control engineering and control software.
Geotechnical, soil mechanics and water jetting calculations.
Gas systems design, breathing and highpressure air systems.
CFD Analysis using Ansys and/or SolidWorks Simulation.
Structural analysis, scoping calculations, hand calculations.
Completing and checking designs and documentation.
Tolerancing, limits and fits.
Drawing layout and symbols.

Key skills

Flexibility, adaptability and professionalism, with the ability to work cooperatively as part of a multidiscipline team or individually on projects.
Ability to liaise with other members of staff including customers and third parties.
Time management with ability to plan work loadings, multitask, and work under pressure.
Good verbal and written communication skills, clear technical writing, good record keeping.
Attention to detail and effective checking regime.
Software skills. Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/DraftSight, SolidWorks and conversant with Mathcad.
