Dealer Auction is a digital business transforming automotive remarketing.

Born from a joint venture between Auto Trader and Cox Automotive, we are the UK's largest online wholesale marketplace.

Our core purpose is to help automotive businesses buy and sell used vehicles online, faster and smarter than any other platform.

Customers include Manufacturers, Fleet & Leasing companies, Franchise and Independent Retailers.


We are continually evolving our digital platform to do more, from search and data tools to logistics and transaction management.

We currently attract over 5500 buyers and 1200 sellers and transact over 120,000 vehicles every year.

The role

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Championing and developing our people strategy with the support of the leadership team and ensure it meets the needs of our people.
  • Leading the continuous improvement of our culture, deploying surveys to understand key areas of focus and delivering plans to drive employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Building and delivering a plan that grows and embeds Diversity and Inclusion within Dealer Auction.
  • Implement a great recruitment and induction programme, fostering a culture of inclusion.
  • Unleash talent potential, driving continuous learning and leveraging the right opportunities available from our parent companies and external sources to inspire personal growth.
  • Taking responsibility for our people policies, ensuring we are legally compliant and people centric, whilst aligning with our parent companies where appropriate.
  • Supporting the day to day needs of our teams in relation to people management, helping them formulate individual improvement plans so they can be at their best.
  • Developing our internal people communications plan and ensuring our teams engage with the benefits and opportunities we offer.

The person
