The Trust is entering an exciting phase and has a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our Management Accounts team as a Deputy Finance Business Partner.
Working closely with a wide range of people including Operational Managers and Execs and supporting realisation of efficiencies and value for money.
The team supports a culture of continual learning as part of the finance team ambition to become a finance skills development (FSD) accredited to level 3.
The postholder will be responsible in contributing towards a comprehensive financial management and support service to designated divisions, providing a full range of advice to Divisional Clinical
Directors, Divisional Directors and other Senior Managers within divisions, and to take a prominent role in supporting the Divisions business planning process and the achievement of cost improvement
programmes.
The postholder will require technical accounting and business knowledge, strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial issues effectively to groups and senior non-financial people, including divisional boards and executive teams and to be able to effectively manage and motivate a small team.
The postholder will also constructively challenge all aspects of divisional and management accounting team performance whilst maintaining team ethics
The post holder must be either CCAB qualified or nearing the final stages of qualification, preferably with previous NHS experience
This is a development post and will be supported in line with our trust succession planning
The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, was established as an NHS Trust in April 1991 and became a Foundation Trust in April 2008.
It employs more than 4,500 members of staff, has around 550 hospital beds, and provides a range of services including A&E, maternity, outpatients, therapies, and children's health.
The Trust is also part of Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP), a new and unique local health partnership that provides a range of community health services for people across South Cheshire and Vale Royal.
The main duties outlined in the job description include, but are not limited to, budgetary control and financial planning, governance, leadership and supporting the training needs of the finance team.
